    independent vowel representing in the Sanskrit vowel ṟ rɯɯ (words spelled with ឬ may also be spelled with រឺ )

      Eg. ក្រែងលោកឲ្យច្រឡំទៅឯណាទេដឹងឬ​?: Is it possible that you lost it somewhere?
    2. ក្រែង ... ទេឬ : really, is it possible, did ... perhaps
    3. ទទួលដឹងឬ [tɔtuəl dəŋ rɨɨ] : to acknowledge (e.g. a letter)
    4. ថាឲ្យឬ [tʰaa ʔaoy rɨɨ] : to say aloud
    5. ធ្វើមិនឬ [tvəə mɨn rɨɨ] : to be a deaf-mute; to pretend not to hear
    6. បានដឹងបានឬ [baa nɔɔ dəŋ baa nɔɔ rɨɨ] : to try not to notice anything; to pretend that one does not notice anything
    7. មិន ... ទេឬអី? : doesn't one (really) ...? don't you (really) ...? (expresses doubt or surprise that something is so or not so)
      Eg. ពេលទៅខេត្តសៀមរាប​ មិន​ឃើញប្រាសាទអង្គរវត្តទេឬអី​?: When you were in Siem Reap, didn't you see Angkor Wat?

      Eg. គាត់ជាអ្នកសរសេរ​សៀវភៅនេះមិនទេឬអី: He really is the one who wrote this book.
    9. មិនធ្វើដឹងធ្វើឬ [mɨn tvəə dəŋ tvəə rɨɨ] : to ignore, not pay attention (to)
    10. មុនឬក្រោយ [mun rɨɨ kraoy] : sooner or later
    11. ម៉េ្លះម្ល៉ឹងឬ [mleh mləŋ rɨɨ] : ? is that so?
    12. អញ្ចឹងឬ [ʔɑɲcəŋ rɨɨ] : ? is that so? really?
    13. ឬក៏ [rɨɨ kɑɑ] : or (on the other hand)

      Eg. អស់ហើយឬនៅ?: Is it finished yet or not?
    18. ឬមួយ [rɨɨ muə yɔɔ] : or, on the other hand

    19. ឬអ្វី [rɨɨ ʔvǝy] : phrase - final interrogative particle
